Clarkesville,GA - C. P. Shaw, 80, formerly of Athens, died July 18, 2005.
A native of Honea Path, SC, he was a son of the late Pearl Lindley and Henry Prue Shaw and was preceded in death by his first wife, Colleen Shaw. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Harper Shaw and two sisters, Delma Reep and Clara Timmerman.
Mr. Shaw was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a developer in Athens for many years.
Graveside services will be Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park. Rev. Wayne Durden will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Ardell Sims Shaw; two daughters, Nancy Shaw Hardwick and husband, Fred of Dandridge, TN, Angela Leigh Shaw of Athens; stepchildren, Stanley and Susan Sims, Jeff and Beth Sims, Tracy Sims, Terry and Sandra Sims, all of Monroe; three sisters, Ruth C. Shaw of Simpsonville, SC, Letha Draper of Monroe, Martha York Hill of Athens; brother, James Henry Shaw of Athens; two grandchildren, Ryan Hardwick and Crystal Hardwick.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
