Colbert, GA - C. Lane Teet, 68, died Friday, March 26, 2010.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Jim Haralson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Partain, Harold Gaulding, Danny Roach, Mike Dudley, Randy Walls, Wayne Craig Sr., Mike Fitzpatrick and Benjamin Fitzpatrick
Born in Greensboro, he was the son of the late Loyd and Thelma Satcher Teet. In addition to his parents, Lane was preceded in death by his brothers, Morris and Lewis Teet and sister, Opal Miller. Lane grew up in Oconee County where he was a member of Antioch Christian Church until moving to Colbert where he became a member of Colbert United Methodist Church. He retired from Clarke County Board of Education as the Warehouse Supervisor. He had a life long love for old cars, restoring and showing them in car shows. His most favorite place to be was on the shores of Lake Hartwell where he sat on the deck where he was most happy and at peace. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved fast cars and any kind of racing. His greatest joy in life was his grandson Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Jerrie Teet, daughter and son in law, Sharon and David Savage of Colbert; sisters and brothers: Laverne Hayes of Watkinsville, Zadie Smiddy of Augusta, Franklin D. Teet of Alabama, Anita Miller of Nicholson, Diane Eades of Winterville, Sue Robertson of Hampton, GA; grandson: Mason Savage and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Colbert United Methodist Church Building Fund.
