Burney Springer Dobbs III

Burney Springer Dobbs, III, 69, of Oconee County, died Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born in Lakeland, FL, he was the son of the late Burney Springer Dobbs, II and Julia Godby Dobbs. Mr. Dobbs was the owner of Fastsigns, Athens. He was very involved with the Rotary Club of Athens, having served as Club Sectary. He loved watching football and cooking for family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Avis E. Dobbs, daughter, Christina Dobbs Lee of Lakeland, FL, sisters, Julia (Jim) Meeks of Stover MO, Anita Will of Eustis, FL, two grandsons, Chase and Hunter Lee and nieces Cassie Hannon, Angie Boyles, and Christine and Amanda Ellis. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rotary Club of Athens, PO Box 5951, Athens, GA 30604.
