Buford Kesler

Athens - Buford Kesler, 91, husband of 65 years to Ruby Doris Butler Kesler, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of the late Rev. D.H. Kesler, Sr. and Mamie Pritchett Kesler. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kesler was preceded in death by his son, James Buford Kesler, brothers: John Harris Kesler and Thurmond Kesler; sister: Hazel Pearson. He was a life long farmer, member of The Clarke County Round Table Club and the ASCS.
In addition to his wife survivors include his children and their spouses: Stanley and Sheryl Kesler of Athens, Jerry and Vickie Kesler of Winterville, Judy and Oral Dove of Athens, Cheryl Kesler Stuart of Athens; sisters and brothers: Ruth Hill of Athens, Bonnie Kenimer of Athens, Runell Thaxton of Athens, Ida Tyner of Colbert, Rev. Dennis Kesler of Athens, Ollie Ramey of Hull, Mary Sapp of Athens, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2PM at Crossroads Church with Revs. Dennis Kesler and Morris Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Kesler, Jeremy Kesler, Eric Dove, Rodney Dove, Josh Stuart and Andy Browner.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
