It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brooke Thomas of Watkinsville, GA, a remarkable woman who inspired all who knew her. Brooke was born on December 13th, 1978 and left us too soon on May 6th, 2024.
Brooke was a beacon of light who radiated genuine warmth, friendliness, and love to everyone around her. Her selfless spirit, resilience and strength were a testament to her unwavering faith and incredible courage. She was a dedicated and treasured wife and mother, a loving and admired daughter and sister, a caring and compassionate friend and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
A public celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Athens Church, 10 Huntington Road, Athens, GA 30606.
She is survived by her husband Matt, daughters Taylor and Finley, mother Marya Wansley, father Jimmy Phillips, stepdad Randall Wansley, and sisters Kristi Fortson and Claire Crowe.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to the "Team Brooke Scholarship Fund". Donations can be made at www.TeamBrookeScholarship.com
Brooke Thomas will be dearly missed, but her contagious smile and spirit will never be forgotten. She has left an indelible mark on this world and her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.
