Athens - Bridgett G. Bates, 40, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2007.
A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of Patricia Williams, of Athens, Freddy Bates, of Toccoa, and stepdaughter of Patricia Gulley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Mr. Gerald Scoggins officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM at Rose Lane Cemetery, Toccoa.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her longtime companion, John Patrick, of Athens; grandparents, Young (Dad) Williams, Roberta (Maw) Williams, Collier and Edith Bates; sisters, Kristi Bates, Tina Bates, both of Lexington, April Gulley, of Toccoa; brothers, Greg Bryant, of Lexington, Ron Bryant, of Athens, and Curtis Stamper, of Kentucky; five nieces, Kayla Streetman, Brittany Streetman, Brittany Spence, Amber Bryant, and Briana Bryant.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
