Athens - Bridget Delia Heffernan Foley, 97, of Athens, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
A native of County Galway, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Walsh Heffernan.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Smyth, and her three children, Gerard B. Foley and his wife, Susan, of Athens, Ga., Mary Carroll and her husband, Kevin, of Bloomfield, N.J., and Michael S. Foley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Foley Mabee, Kathleen Foley, Daniel Foley, Aileen Carroll Knox, Siobhan Carroll Thibault, Colleen Carroll, Jeremiah John Foley, Sean Foley and Patrick Foley; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Mabee, Owen Mabee, Aidan Mabee, Johanna Knox, William Knox, Lucy Knox and Cecilia Knox.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Catholic Center at UGA, followed by a burial at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the Catholic Center at UGA, 1344 South Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA 30605. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
