Brennan “Brenny” McClanahan unexpectedly passed away on November 18th 2021 at home.

He was born on March 26th 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida to Erin and Eric McClanahan. Brenny was a happy boy who loved books and going to school. He made everyone laugh and smile who met him. Special thanks to Piedmont Child Development Center for the outstanding care he received during the day, and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare’s Women’s Hospital/NICU for their care at the beginning of Brenny’s life.

He is survived by his parents, his twin sister Avery,his grandparents Bob and Denise McClanahan, and his uncle Patrick (Kristen) Tregoning. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Janis Dekany, his uncle Kyle McClanahan, and great grandmother Milly Dekany.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4th from 3-5 pm at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home in Athens. Masks are required.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oconee Street UMC. Masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made to the family will be used for medical expenses and will be donated to different entities in Brennan’s name.

Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.
