Brenda Joyce Watts

Brenda Joyce Watts, 81, died August 16, 2023.

A native and longtime resident of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Lelia Naomi Reynolds and Watson Harwick Boswell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) Watts and two sons, William Keith Watts and Gregory Watson Watts.

Brenda retired from William Carter Co./Millen-Wood, Inc. and was a member of Forsyth Apostolic Church.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Revs. Brandon Shanks, Jeremy Causey and Tim Boswell officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM at Lamar Memory Gardens, Barnesville, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Robert) Shanks of Jackson, GA; son, Bruce (Michelle) Watts of Crawford, GA; brothers, Eddie (Gale) Boswell and Timothy (Faith) Boswell, all of Lexington, GA; grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Shanks of Forsyth, GA, Eddie (Kimberly) Watts of Colbert, GA, Gabbie (Dallas) Harvey of Crawford, GA; great grandchildren, Hannah Shanks, Emily Shanks, Blake Watts, Everleigh Watts, Graelyn Watts, Charlie Watts and Carter Harvey; a number of nieces and nephews; dear friend, Frank Hall.
