Brenda Dunbar

Brenda Joyce Dunbar, age 71 of Watkinsville, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Visitation will take place at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home West Chapel in Watkinsville on Saturday, Aug 4, 2018 from 12PM to 1PM. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 1PM. Rev. Bill Hayes will officiate.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Dunbar Jr; and parents, Clyde & Liz B. Fagan. She is survived by daughter, Christy Dickens of Watkinsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Dickens Hayes & Shawne Hayes of Watkinsville, GA; grandson, Jackson Knox Hayes of Watkinsville, GA; and sister and brother-in-law, Clydette and Tom Frederick of Athens, GA; and many other loving family and friends.

Brenda retired from Athens First Bank and Trust, where she was employed for 26 years as an executive assistant. She was a master gardener and an avid bird watcher. She loved to travel and spent time mentoring children at the Chase Street School in Athens. Brenda was a kind and caring person.
