Brenda Ann Callaway, age 49, passed away on March 20, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Linton Ridgeway Callaway and Catherine Bradley Callaway. Brenda was a devout Christian and had attended Fine Finish in Danielsville until 2009.
Brenda spent most of her life in a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy but she never asked why or felt sorry for herself. The disease finally took everything she had. "Your family did everything that we could to keep you with us, but we finally realized that was not right, that Mama needed you more. March 19 was a special day for us as it was the day of Mama's passing 7 years ago. We felt in our hearts that she spoke to you that it was time to come home with her. You left this world with dignity and grace. Forever in our hearts you will be missed. Your hurting is over. Go walk and run in heaven."
Survivors include her sisters, Pam (Ronnie) Williams and Barbara (Ricky) Busbin; nieces, Dawn (Scott) Jarrett and Candace (Casey) Crane; nephew, Brandon Busbin (and his fiancé, Leah Shiver); several grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville with Rev. Kenny Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Saturday, March 22.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bird, Jimmy Bird, Casey Crane, Brandon Busbin, Scott Jarrett, and Randy Gabriel. Honorary pallbearer will be Noah Crane.
