Brad Bailie

David Bradley “Brad” Bailie, 90, of Watkinsville, GA, died November 14, 2024. 

Born in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Marion Sullivan Bailie. 

Brad attended The University of Notre Dame where he played football. He was a graduate of Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA where he received Masters degrees in both Theology and English. For a number of years, Brad worked for Clougherty Meat Packing in Los Angeles. Brad also taught grade school and high school in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Athens, Ga. He was much respected by his students and continued to hear from former students through the years. 

Brad is survived by his wife Judy Bailie, step-children William Russell Marable (Bonnie) and grandchildren Dayna Marable and Blake Marable of Orange County, Ca., William Preston Marable (Karen) and granddaughter Jordan Marable of Simpsonville, SC; sister Sandy Dennison of Las Vegas, NV., and niece Sue Anderson of Oakdale, California. 

 Private services will be held in Athens, GA.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
