Athens, GA - Bonnie E. Crowley, 90, died Monday, February 10, 2014.
Born in Oglethorpe County, she was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Julia Thaxton Young and Walter Young, her husband, Joe Marvin Crowley and her sons, Joe Marvin Crowley, Jr. and Lt. Colonel John Crowley. Bonnie was a retired bookkeeper and member of Hull Baptist Church. She loved quilting and cooking and always shared with her many friends. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Frances Burgess (James) of Bogart, JoAnn Collinsworth (Jimmy) of Athens; daughter in law, Linda Crowley of Athens; sister, Mary Helen Maico of Dunwoody; grandchildren, Scott Burgess (Patricia), Joey Burgess, Tim Burgess (Pam), Mark Collinsworth (Jamie), Tracy Kite (Tim), Brad Collinsworth (Bettyann), John Crowley, III and Misty Crowley; 10 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Revs. Randy Crowe and Ted Tedder will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Hull Baptist Church Building Fund, St. Mary's Hospice House or Bogart Baptist Church Youth Program.
