Stephens, Ga- Mr. Bobby McCannon, age 70, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Athens Regional Hospital of Athens.
He was born in Oglethorpe County on October 12, 1935 to the late Cleveland and Florie McCannon. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Burts United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; Lucy McCannon; five children; Gail (Randy) Campbell of O'Fallon, MO.; Lynn (Dwayne) Patton of Colbert, GA.; Glenda (Steve) Bridges and Gloria (David) Bridges of Stephens, GA; and Greg (Brandy) McCannon of Alabama. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening, September 8, 2006 at the funeral home from 6 til 8 pm.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lord and Stephens - Crawford with the Rev. Dan Fuller and Mr. Richard Smith officiating.
Lord and Stephens - Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
