Athens - Robert Lee "Bobby" McAllister, 70, died February 2, 2006.
A native of Floyd County, GA, he was a son of the late Eleanor Partridge and Charlie E. McAllister. He was formerly employed with Oliver Rubber Company.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 5, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Revs. Buford Lockman and Elmer Butler will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley McAllister; three children, Bobby Gene McAllister, Debbie McAllister Hilley and husband, Richard, and Ruth Ann Rogers, all of Athens; two brothers, Franklin McAllister of Athens and Jessie McAllister of Winder; three sisters, Jenny Dooley of Watkinsville, Patricia Tanksley of Statesboro, and Nell Chambers of Watkinsville; two grandchildren, Chad and Teresa Rogers and Brandon Rogers; one great grandchild, Trenton Parten.
Pallbearers will be Paul Green, Gary Travis, Jimmy Dennard, Kevin Cooper, Todd Morrow, and Mark Morrow.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Healthcare, 575 Research Drive, Athens, GA 30605.
