Bobby Virgil Evans, 73 of Winterville, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Wilson and Bessie Evans. Bobby retired with 35 years of service from ABB (formerly Westinghouse) in 2003. He loved all sports especially little league baseball, the Georgia Bulldogs, NASCAR racing and fishing. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars, all types of electronics, was an avid antique collector and had a great love for animals. He was one of a kind, and will be remembered by many for his quick wit, jokes, laughter, big smile and the fact that he was a Chevrolet man. He will always be loved and honored by the family he built who have survived him.
He is survived by his loving wife Eloise Evans, two daughters Krystal Pintar (Tom), Karen Scoville (John) and three grandchildren, Lee Pintar, Erek Scoville (Shelley), and Erin Hale.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Lord and Stephens East. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
