Crawford - Bobbie G. Burroughs, 94, wife of the late Clyde Alexander Burroughs, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Clark Cemetery at 2PM. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2PM at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
A native of Angelina, TX, she was the daughter of the late Lygia and Hattie Reed Gilbert. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daugher Barbara Burroughs Mathews. Bobbie was the owner and operator of Bobbie's Beauty Shop for more than thiry years. She was a member of Crawford United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter; Carol Agnes Meriam of Loganville; sister: Doris Gilbert of Texas; grandchildren: Johnny (Melanie) Mathews, Alex (Tina) Mathews, Lisa Evanson, Charles (Suzanna) Dawson, Melanie (Billy) Anderson and twelve great grandchilren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Quiet Oaks Nursing Home or Clark Cemetery Fund, c/o Lexington Baptist Church.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
