Blake Hardigree

H. Blake Hardigree, 71, husband of Sandra Cochran Hardigree, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at his residence. Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Henry Emerson Hardigree and Abbie Bell Edgar Hardigree. He retired after 40 years from Anaconda/Southwire and was a member of Ashford Memorial Methodist Church. Blake had a great love for his family, friends, farm and anything he was able to improve. In addition to his wife Sandra, survivors include two children: Abbie (Greg) Thaxton of Arnoldsville, Jeff (Amanda) Hardigree of Valdosta; sister: Sue (Van) Jenkins of Covington, LA and four grandchildren: Kimberlee Thaxton, Gary-Blake Hardigree, Emily Hardigree and Wyatt Hardigree and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 3PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Revs. Larry Weldon and Tom Cochran. The family will receive friends from 1PM to 3PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
