Athens - Billy B. Sorrow, 78, died March 15, 2007.
A native of Walton County, Georgia, he was a son of the late Martha Broach and Richard Lee Sorrow. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he retired from North American Philips Corporation. He served two tours of duty in the United States Navy and participated in the Berlin Airlift.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Private services will be held.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Mathews Sorrow; three children, Georgia S. Lee, of Kennesaw, William Russell Sorrow, of Atlanta, and Thomas Lee Sorrow, of Athens; sister, Elaine S. Patrick, of Marietta; two grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Lee and Joshua Garrett Lee; great-grandson, Ethan Armand Millis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
