Billy F. Mann, 77, died August 15, 2009 at Winterville Retirement Center, where he resided for the last four years.
A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Frank and Florena Hall Mann. Mr. Mann was a veteran of the United States Navy with service during the Korean War, and was owner and operator of Mann's Heating and Air Conditioning for over thirty years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Arnoldsville Cemetery.
Survivors include two children, Gary Mann of Arnoldsville, GA and Rita Carol Konterski of Denver, CO; former spouse of thirty-two years, Edna Stewart of Crawford, GA; two sisters, Jane Moore of Neece, GA and Carol Wheeler of Watkinsville, GA; two brothers, Joe Mann of Athens, GA and Butch Mann of South Carolina; half sister, Pamela Aaron of Arnoldsville, GA; half brother, Phil Massey of Athens, GA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hope Haven of Athens.
