Billy R. Jones

Billy Jones, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on December 16, 1954, in Commerce, GA, Billy was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor.

Billy is survived by his wife, Teresa Jones; his children, Thad Jones (Charlotte Jones), Matt Jones (Chelsea Jones), and Wesley Jones (Kayla Jones); his grandchildren, Eli Jones (Jonne'ka Jones), Lily Jones, Bella House, Izaac House, Micah Jones, Addy Jones, Olivia Jones; and his great-grandson, Salem Jones. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Jones, and his parents, Ed and Lois Jones.

Billy graduated from Commerce High School and spent more than 45 years working as a professional long-haul driver. He was passionate about his church, family, and fishing, dedicating much of his time to his church and family.

Billy will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and smile, and his commitment to his family and friends. Those who knew him cherished his sense of humor, wisdom, and warmth. He will be dearly missed by all.

The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville. The family and friends will visit at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The interment will be in Jefferson Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
