Winterville - Billy Franklin Hart, 69, died October 2, 2005.
A native of Franklin County, he was a son of the late Dewey and Flora Lee Hart. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Hart, Derick Hart and Branson Hart. He was retired from the University of Georgia. Mr. Hart was a charter member of New Covenant Worship Center and one of the three founding members.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at 1:00 PM at New Covenant Worship Center with Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hart; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Terry Tiller; two grandchildren, Ansley Tiller and Morgan Tiller, all of Athens; sister, Linda Duck of Royston; brother, Blanchard Hart of Clairmont, GA.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to The ALS Center at Emory University, 1365 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30322 or New Covenant Worship Center in memory of Billy Hart.
