Crawford - Billie Sue Spratlin Boardman, 65, died Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Born in Winter Park, FL, she was the daughter of the late William Pope Spratlin and Eunice Baker Spratlin. She worked over 20 years for Athens Regional Medical Center and was the first recipient of the Nurse of the Year Award before moving to Medford, Oregon to continue her nursing career.
Survivors include her daughter; Dorothy (Shane) Blocker of Crawford; son: William (Shannon) Boardman of Madison Heights, MI; sisters: Patsy England of Crawford, Martha Spratlin of Crawford; brother: Edward Spratlin of Crawford; grandchildren: Madison, Konner, Shelby, Bailee, and Jaxson Blocker, Zachary and Ethan Boardman.
There are no words to express how much she was loved and how much she will be missed.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oglethorpe County Senior Citizens Center.
Services will be private.
