Hull - Billy Darrell Adams, age 61, husband of Connie Handley Adams, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 3PM at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Smith and Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Adams, Lanier Strickland, Jason Strickland, Dennis Adams, Eric Adams and Scott Barber.
A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Carl and Roberta Adams Hardman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister in law, Jack and Nell Adams.
Mr. Adams retired from the USDA Farm Service Agency as a printing supervisor after 29 years of service. Many swings, frames and picnic tables in our surrounding area were built by this woodworking entrepreneur. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Adams is survived by one son, Justin Adams, one brother and sister in law, Cornelius and Pat Adams, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the funeral home.
