Betty Jaqueline Paul Mathews

Betty Jaqueline Paul Mathews passed peacefully into the arms of her lord at age of 92 on March 29, 2022. Betty was a native of Oglethorpe County. She was born on July 24, 1929, in Point Peter, GA to the late Mary Holloman Paul and Howard “Jack” Paul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Malvin Brantley Mathews, and seven of her eight siblings: Maurice Paul, Valerie Porterfield Spinks, Jervis Paul, Carrol Paul, Shirley Foster, Joel Paul, and Jerry Paul. She is survived by her brother, Broughton, and her loving daughter, Lynne. In addition, she leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews.

Betty was devoted to her family, her daughter, and her Lord. She was a giving and loving mother to Lynne, her only child. She will be missed with every sunset.
