Betty Eloise "Gann" Nixon

Betty Eloise Nixon, 82, died Saturday, November 26, 2011.
Born in Heard County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Newt Lee Gann and Willie Bera Shumake Gann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother: Bobby Elliot Gann. She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints. She retired from Scientific Atlanta.
Survivors include her husband Ether E. Nixon of Bethlehem; daughters: Teresa Nixon Anderson of Bethlehem and Kimberly Nixon Perschka of Watkinsville; brothers: Charles Donald Gann and Herbert Stephens Gann both of Alabama; grandchildren: Courtney Anderson McCallion, Nicholas Perschka, Chris Perschka, Jessica Perschka; great grandchildren: Hannah McCallion and Ryan McCallion.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Bishop Greg Giddins officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, November 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hope Haven, 795 Newton Bridge Road,
Athens, GA 30607-1303.
