Athens, GA - Betty Mountz Ogden, 82, died July 20, 2010.
Born in Geigertown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Elsie Hohl Mountz and was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Daniel Lee Ogden. Mrs. Ogden grew up and graduated high school in Birdsboro, PA. Married to a construction superintendent, she and her family lived in many towns throughout the United States as well as Italy and Algeria. She lived in Athens, GA since 1998 and was an active member of St. Gregory The Great Episcopal Church. She enjoyed painting and traveling. She was a loving, nurturing mother and loyal friend to many.
Memorial services will be Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 3:00 at Saint Gregory The Great Episcopal Church.
Survivors include three children, David M. Ogden of Salisbury, NC, Scott D. Ogden of Jakarta, Indonesia and Cynthia O. Vail of Athens, GA; brothers, Robert Mountz of State College, PA; five grandchildren, Daniel M. Ogden, Rachel L. Chambers, Keith B. Ogden, Jordan O. Vail and Sonia L. Vail; one great grandchild, Cayden A. Chambers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polycystic Kidney Research Foundation.
