Betty Sue MacPherson

Betty Sue MacPherson, 77, of Bishop, Georgia, died Thursday July 29, 2010. She was born in Roanoke, Alabama, on November 19, 1932, to the late Winnie and Gilbert Eugene Washington. Betty graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelors of Arts in Music and worked as a radio announcer before marrying the late Robert Townsend MacPherson in 1953.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Townsend MacPherson (USMC, Ret.) and a son, Ian Colin MacPherson
She is survived by her six children, Donna Lynn MacPherson, of Bishop, Robert Douglas MacPherson, of Lebanon, Tennessee, Shelia Rae MacPherson Long, of Marietta, Bradley Alan MacPherson, of Bishop, David Bruce MacPherson, of Bishop and Robin Lee Macpherson Mitchell of Cumming. Also a brother Jerry Eugene Washington, of Rainbow City, Alabama.
Visitation will be Saturday July 31, 2010 from 6-8 at Lord and Stephens Funeral WEST Chapel, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road in Bogart. The funeral will be at the funeral home chapel on Sunday August 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M with Rev. Doug Bower officiating.
