Winterville, GA - Betty Miller Jones, 77, died May 20, 2012.
A native and lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Frank Miller and Mattie Lee Palmer Ogle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Bales, granddaughter, Kayla Woodruff and brother, Frank Coile Miller. Mrs. Jones was the widow of Ralph Lee Jones. For a number of years, she owned and operated Five Points Grocery in Winterville.
Survivors include her companion, Edwin Fleeman; son-in-law, Terry Bales; brother, Jack Miller; grandson, Russell Woodruff; sister-in-law, Faye Miller, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM followed by graveside services at Grove Chapel Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Miller, Ricky Shelton, Dale Coker, Randy Ogle, Hugh Ogle and Billy Ogle.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
