Crawford - Betty Jo Evans, 70, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Crawford, Ga., she was the daughter of Edna Cheek Graham of Crawford and the late Walter Graham. She was well known in the Crawford area and member of Edwards Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Evans, sisters, Lessie Reynolds, Frances McNeil and brother, Morris Graham.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Evans of Crawford, brother, James Graham of Crawford as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Edwards Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Doster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Saturday, February 5, 2011.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
