Betty Fisher Craddock

January 26, 1930 — September 15, 2018

Mrs. Betty Fisher Craddock, 88, died September 14, 2018.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Craddock was a daughter of the late Hurdle Lee and Zula Davis Fisher, and the widow of Louis Craddock. She lived for several years in Aiken, SC before moving to Athens.

Betty loved her family and her cat, Annie. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and continued her affiliation long after her college days at the University of Louisville.  Betty and Louie remained lifelong fans of the U of L Cardinals. Her family will miss her advice, tuna salad and cookies.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia (Stephen) Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah and Deborah (Roy) Bell of Athens; two sisters, Nancy Campbell of Linville, NC and Mary Frisbie of Louisville, KY; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five nephews.

Because of her love of books, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Books for Keeps, P.O. Box 49761, Athens, GA 30604.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
