Rayle - Betsy Wynne, 39, died Sunday, April 06, 2008 at St. Marys Hospice House.
A native of Clarke County, Betsy was the daughter of Pat W. and Betty V. Wynne of Rayle. She was a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School, Truett-McConnell College and member of Life Church of Athens. Betsy had worked for the University of Georgia as the ADA Coordinator with the Institute On Human Development and Disability
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2PM at Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Waller and Rev. Tim Vaughn officiating. Pallbearers were Tommy Thaxton, Lee Thaxton, Jason Thaxton, Mike Hill, Edwin Sayer and Rick Berry. Burial followed at the Thaxton-Wynne Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her sisters and brothers in law, Patrice and Joe Goletz of Summerville, SC, Beverly and Jerry Nation of Crawford, Susan and Doug Houser of Rayle; six nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Life Church of Athens, Building Fund, 2351 College Station Road, PMB 411, Athens, GA 30605; or PAWS, P.O. Box 7905, Athens, GA 30604.
