Betsy Pierce, 63, died February 17, 2010.
A native and lifelong resident of this area, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Carrie Martin and the widow of Cody Pierce. She was preceded in death by two sons, William Rusty Pierce and Ray Thomas Wilson and a grandson, Christopher Ray Blackwell. Mrs. Pierce will be remembered as a person who lived life to the fullest and got the most out of each day.
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Winterville Cemetery.
Survivors include six children, Diane Dearing of Conyers, Eleanor Alwood of Cleveland, Linda Pitts of Colbert, Michael Pierce of Alto, Loretta Clark of Eatonton, Deborah Wilson of Lake Placid, FL and Rodney Pierce of Lexington; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
