Athens, GA - Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Young, 80, died October 10, 2007. She was a resident of Iris Place for the past 7 years.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Ruby Eberhart Crawford and was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Eberhart and Billy Crawford and sisters, Sue Chamblee and Sara Saxon. Mrs. Young made her home in Florida for 23 years. She was the widow of Howard B. Young, a professor at the University of Florida for 25 years. She was retired from Ackerman Security.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Dr. Franklin Shumake and Rev. Ray Austin officiating.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, WEST, Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
