Beth Langford Nunnally

Beth Langford Nunnally, 72, of Watkinsville, passed away March 16, 2022.

Beth lived in Lavonia, GA until the 8th grade when her family moved to Athens. She graduated from Athens High School in 1967 and spent time as a student at Young Harris College.

Beth made lifelong friends from elementary school, high school, college and through work at Southern Bell, Reliance Electric, Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School, Heyward Allen Motor Company before finally retiring from Whit Davis Elementary School. Beth loved life and it showed through her smile and multitude of friends. She loved nothing more than her annual trips to the beach with her “Beach Babes” group and also loved pool time in the back yard. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Athens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and James Langford, and her nephew Mark Ham V.

Beth is survived by her son Howard Nunnally (Kendall Cathy), sister Eugenia Ham (Mark), niece Jenny Givens (Scott), great nieces and nephews Eli, Mary Katherine, Maddie, and James, as well as her close friend and caregiver Katy Terry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19 at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
