Bessie Mae (Smith) Paradise

Bessie Mae Paradise passed away February 19, 2013.
Bessie Mae Paradise was born July 21, 1908 in Wilkes County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Walton Smith and Lucy Bailey Smith and was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Anderson Paradise, Sr.
Mrs. Paradise was the oldest living member of Salem Baptist Church, where she was very active as long as her health permitted.
She attended Georgia State Normal College and taught school in Wilkes County several years. She was a devoted wife, mother and very special grandmother.
She is survived by one son, Mark A. Paradise (Mary) and two loving grandchildren, Melanie M. Paradise of Knoxville, TN; Cullen B. Paradise of Stephens, GA; a very devoted niece, Mrs. Betsy P. Prince and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Mask officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until service time.
