Bertha Mae Powers

Bertha Mae Powers, 73, of Madison, GA died on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
She was born in Morgan County to the late James Clyde Fielding and Maebell Shelton Fielding. Bertha lived in both Oconee and Morgan Counties for many years, worked at General Times for thirty-two years before their closing, and was a member of Elder Road Baptist Church for over 40 years. She loved her family, her pastor, her church family, and life on the water at the lake. She was a hardworking, strong, adventurous, and simple woman who most loved to laugh and to make others laugh.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Powers, and her first husband, Jackie Thomas Anderson.
Bertha is survived by her daughter, Cathy Anderson Willoughby; granddaughters Ashland Renee Willoughby and Katie Elise Ralston; great-granddaughter Sarah Kate Hester; sister Reba Morrow; aunt Marjorie (Carey) Williams and cousins Karen (Jack) Lindsey and Robin (Carlos) Batista; beloved dog, Lexi, and a host of other beloved relatives.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
