Bernice Nell Martin

Bernice Nell Martin, 92, wife of the late James Franklin Martin, died Sunday, November 18, 2018. Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late David Burkhalter and Flora Mae Craft Burkhalter. She was a caretaker and member of Living Word Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: Robert F. Eades of Tignall, GA, Jimmy Martin of Watkinsville, Danny Eades of Greensboro, Jane Bishop of Rutledge; sisters: Thelma Ross of Watkinsville and Juanita Henson of Nicholson; brother: Mack Burkhalter of Sandy Cross; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 a 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Larry Holmes officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
