Winterville, GA - Ernest Benjamin (Benny) Parks, 68, died October 17, 2007.
A son of the late Howard Parks and Edna Poole Parks Boring, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Jackson and Dorothy Powell.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Bill Hayes, Rev. Roger Denton and Mr. Tom Bowers will officiate.
The family may be reached at the Robert Hardeman Road residence in Winterville.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Bell Parks; children, Rhonda Wagner of Winterville and Randy Parks of Graham, NC; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Tony Ervin and Betty and Garnet Purcell, both of Commerce; five grandchildren, Blair, Matt, Alec, Drew and Miranda; two great grandchildren, Hope and Austin; four step grandchildren, Justin, Jessie, C. J. and Cameron.
In lieu of flowers, request memorials to Vista Care Hospice.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
