Winterville - Bennett Lee Norris, Jr., 48, died Thursday, February 9, 2006
at his residence.
Born in Marietta, GA he was the son of the late Bennett Lee Norris, Sr. and Barbara Stewart Norris of Union Point, GA.
He received his BBA from the University of Georgia in 1979 and was a member of Zeta Beta Tau. He was employed by
Sherwin-Williams for 17 years.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Marsha Hix Norris, son, Clayton Lee Norris of Alpharetta, GA, brothers; Bill and Stewart Norris of Union Point, GA and Dan Norris of Acworth, GA and maternal grandmother, Martha Dean
Stewart. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 13, 2006 at 6:30PM at the East Chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 5PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Greg Hix, Ray Barron, Michael Perez, Matt Confer, Kenny Hipps, Brian Davis and Lee Premo.
Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance or Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
