Benjamin Carlisle Haynes, III

Benjamin Carlisle Haynes, III of Augusta, GA, passed away at Doctors' Hospital on 27 Oct 2016.
Son of Benjamin Carlisle Haynes, Jr. and Martha Brooks Haynes of Athens, GA, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Ward Haynes.
Known as B.C. or Ben, he graduated from Oconee County High School in 1964. He attended the University of Georgia and Athens Technical College. Ben served his country in the U.S. Air Force in northern Africa as an operating room technician. He later worked in the same capacity at Athens General Hospital. He actively supported friends of Bill W.

Funeral services are November 5, 2016 1:00pm at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel. The family will visit before the service starting at 11:30am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Haynes is survived by a brother, Thomas Gregory Haynes (Joyce) of Gastonia, NC and a sister, Mary Haynes Piazza (Tim) of Statham, GA, along with nieces, Melanie Malnati (Jonathan), Jeanne Haynes Dinh (Cuong), Marjorie Haynes Burnette (Joshua), and Carla Piazza Dawson, and nephew, Jacob Alexander Piazza (Julie). Also great nieces, Avery and Kara, and great-nephews, Colton and Lucas.
