Watkinsville - Benjamin H. Luther, II, husband of Dolly Luther, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Powers and Rev. Carlton Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Travis Cain, Jamie Geeter, Feddy Valdez, Rafeal Campos, Faron Young and Lawrence Miller.
Born in Chicago IL, he was the son Lorene Shaddix and the late Jay Carl Luther. He was a member of Oconee Baptist Church and worked all his life for Quality Siding.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly; son: Benjamin H. Luther III of Watkinsville; step sons: Tommy Russell and Ryan Russell of Winterville; brothers: David Sprayberry of Watkinsville, Donnie Sprayberry of Watkinsville; Eddie Luther of Watkinsville; sisters: Diane Sprayberry of Chicago, Pamela Sprayberry Cheek of Hull, Lora Sprayberry of Watkinsville and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
