Beatrice Hulsey Drake, 94, died April 14, 2009.
A native and longtime resident of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Isaiah and Pearlie Bridges Hulsey. She was the widow of George W. Drake and preceded in death by a granddaughter, Becky Drake. Mrs. Drake was the oldest living member of Friendship Baptist Church and was an active member there for over seventy years.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Revs. Dayton Logan and Larry Elliott officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, W. G. and Betty Drake of Carlton, and Melvin and Marilyn Drake of Comer; sister, Mazelle Stowe of Toccoa; three grandchildren, Randy Drake, Roger Parham and Danny Parham; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
