Barbara Adams Watson

Comer - Barbara Adams Watson, 61, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Royston, GA she was the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey and Miriam Barrett Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Watson, Sr., son, Donald Ray "Chip" Watson, Jr., brother, Keith Adams and sister, Sharon Adams Dill. She retired from Athens Regional Medical Center as a Disbursement Specialist, was a member of Word of Life Congregational Holiness Church and a graduate of Athens Technical College with a diploma in Secretarial Science. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Tara and Lewis Graham of Comer, brothers, Danny Adams of Shiloh, Troy Adams of Shiloh, Hugh M. Adams of Danielsville and two grandchildren, Donnie Graham and Abby Graham.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2PM at Word of Life Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Herman Nation officiating and Rev. Glenn Guest speaking. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Madison County Food Bank. Lord & Stephens Madision Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
