Barbara Warren Rowan

Barbara Warren Rowan, age 72, of Statham, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at her home after being in failing health for a few months. Barbara was born December 7, 1945 to William and Blanche Warren.
She was a 1963 graduate of Oconee County High School and a graduate of Athens- Johnson Business College. During her professional career as an insurance underwriter, she worked at Burns Insurance Agency (Athens), Chastain & Associates (Athens), Hometown Insurance Agency (Winder), and retired from Auto Owners Insurance (Duluth).
Barbara is survived by her husband, Dale Rowan, and the two loves of her life, her son Shawn Nation and grandson Spencer Nation. She is also survived by her sister, Glenda Brown, and her husband Jack Brown and their children and grandchildren Jason Brown, Amelia Brown, Jackson Brown, Wyatt Brown and Kelly Maffeo, Ella Grace Maffeo, and Mason Maffeo. She is also survived by one aunt and several cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, May 11th, from 6 - 8 PM at Lord and Stephens-West in Bogart, Georgia. Services will be Saturday, May 12th at 12 noon, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
