Mrs. Barbara Jean “Jean” Davis, 82, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Athens, Georgia.
Born on November 11, 1942, in Athens, Georgia, Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Creig Davis. Their loving marriage lasted for 59 years. Also, she is preceded by her parents Sara Nell McDonald and James Lewis McDonald. She grew up in Georgia and attended Winder Barrow High School. Over the years she built a career in both the banking and retail industries, where she was known for her dedication and hard work.
Jean had a passion for crafting and spent countless hours knitting, crocheting, and basket-making. She also enjoyed shopping and finding special treasures for herself and her loved ones. Her creativity and skill were evident in the beautiful handmade pieces she created, which will be cherished by those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura and Adriane; sons-in-law, Bobby Abraham and Jim Grey; grandchildren Caitlin (Broc Compton), Morgan (Adam Gotwald), Davis Taylor and Elise Taylor; great-grandchildren, Charlie Jean Compton, Jacob Allan Compton and soon-to-be Levi Allan Compton.
Jean’s memory will live on through the love and laughter she shared with her family and friends. May her legacy bring comfort to those who knew her.
