Barbara Jean Cannon

Watkinsville

Barbara Jean Cannon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 79.

Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Hall and Ludie Belle Alford Hall. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed camping and fishing. She also loved baking, reading and working in her garden. Mrs. Cannon was a Nurse in the Athens area for more than 40 years and she was a member of Freeman Creek Baptist Church in Farmington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Hall, Don Hall and Bill Hall and her granddaughter, Ashleigh Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Ray Cannon; three daughters, Terri Wood (Tom) of Gray, GA, Amanda Franklin (Gregg) of Tampa, FL and Charlene Standridge of Watkinsville; two brothers, Daniel Hall (Teresa) of Watkinsville, GA and Carl Hall (Vicki) of Bogart, GA; five grandchildren, Bryan Wood (Tori) and Logan Hill, all of Carrollton, GA, Zachary Franklin and Jacob Franklin, both of Tampa, FL and Emilee Standridge of Watkinsville, GA and three great-grandchildren, AJ Hill, Lincoln Hill and Jameson Wood and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.

Flowers are accepted or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
