Barbara Joyce (Ferguson) Barton

We sorrowfully announce the death of Barbara Ferguson Barton, 81, of Winterville, GA on January 16, 2017. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Grady Barton. Barbara is survived by her three children and their families, Mike Barton (Debbie) of St Louis, MO and children Matt Barton and Katie Hope, Russell Barton(Kathy) of Alvaton, KY and children Dylan Barton and Cason Barton and Melanie Harrison of Acworth, GA and children Clark Harrison and Hayden Harrison and Barbara's brother, Jim L Ferguson of Ellijay, GA and her sister-in-law Kathy Ferguson of Hull GA.
Barbara graduated from Winterville High School where she was crowned Miss Winterville High School. She was a member of Tuckston United Methodist Church and retired from the University of Georgia Agricultural Extension. Barbara will be remembered for her devotion to family, her sense of humor, her adventurous spirit and her love of flowers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 a 10:30AM at Tuckston United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 at the funeral home Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
