Crawford - B.T. Allen, Sr., 77, husband of Rosalind Allen, died Friday, June 30, 2006.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late A. T. and Grace S. Allen. He worked in the shoe business for 50 years, he was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. B. T. was a loving husband, father and PaPa to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his pet Miss Daisy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children and their spouses; Benny (Elaine) Allen of Crawford, Peggy (Travis) Gabriel of Crawford, Billy (Faye) Allen of Colbert and Patti (Bob) Foster of Winterville, brother, Asa Lee Allen of Athens, grandchildren and their spouses, Tara (Travis) Fields, Terri (Alex) Mason, Marc (Kelley) Attaway, Chuck (Joni) Gabriel, Jennifer Attaway, Gregory (Crystal) Allen, Maggie Johnson, Mollie Johnson and Nicki Foster and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 2PM, Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Clarke Cemetery with Revs. Dayton Logan, Don Leaptrott and Les Roberts officiating. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Lord & Stephens, Crawford are in charge of arrangements.
