Austin Carter

Austin "Mike" Michael Carter, 70, husband of the late Margaret Ann Rorrer Carter, died July 27, 2016. Born in Dodge City, Kansas, he was the son of the late Minnie Houck Carter and Austin Carter. Mike served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, earning several honors including the Purple Heart, and was a member of the American Legion Post 123, Lexington, GA. He is survived by his loving daughters: Steffanie (Katie) Land, Samm Blumenshine, Kassandra Arroyo, as well as his sons, Kenneth Churning, Mark Churning, Michael Carter, Chuck Carter, Lonnie Carter, John Carter, twenty six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
